About Robert Cole
Robert Cole is a former U.S. Army infantry officer who served with the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 101st Airborne Division. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and has spent his career at the intersection of conflict, policy, and human consequence — as a military officer, a consultant on classified government projects, an entrepreneur, and a college professor.
His years working in and around African conflict zones left a lasting mark, and that experience runs through his fiction. Cole writes thrillers grounded in the real world — the places, the politics, the moral gray areas, and the people who operate in them. His novels blend authentic operational detail with complex global stakes, exploring power, loyalty, and the cost of decisions made far from public view.
He is the author of ten novels spanning three series:
The Matt Sheridan Series — a post-apocalyptic saga following a former Special Forces officer and his family as they fight to survive after a devastating nuclear attack on the United States. Five books. No filler. Pure survival.
The Fractured Union Series — a political thriller duology that imagines America's constitutional unraveling, where social media manipulation, political conspiracy, and a forgotten clause in the Constitution collide with explosive consequences.
The Relief Solutions Series — beginning with Diamond Coast, a new thriller following Milo deCogan, a private security consultant who protects humanitarian workers in the world's most dangerous places. When the Secretary of State's daughter is kidnapped from a refugee camp in South Sudan, Milo is the one who gets the call.
He is also the author of The Final Click, a standalone novella, and is currently at work on The Blank, the first book in the Data Famine Series.
Cole lives with his family and writes the kind of thrillers he loves to read — fast-paced, character-driven, and set in places most people never see.
